How should a shirt look on you?
Your T-shirt should fall just below your belt and sit right around the middle of where your fly would be. It should also be a close fit. If you're tall, going oversized might seem like the only way to get the right length, but opt for a longline cut in your size instead.
- Collar: those with deep Vs should be avoided.
- Shoulders: seams should sit on shoulder-bone.
- Sleeves: they should be mid-length on biceps and not too loose.
- Length: a T-Shirt should end middle of fly.
- Width: ideal when you leave 2.5-5cm loose fabric on each side of the torso.
THE SHOULDERS
The shoulder seams of the shirt should hit at your natural shoulder lines, not up on the collar bones (too small) or hanging down on the upper arm (too big).
To determine if your outfit looks good, pay attention to how the outfit feels. If you're uncomfortable, it will show. If there's any weirdness in size —like bunching or puckering—it's not the right fit. And if the colors don't suit your skin, you won't look vibrant and healthy.
A classic way to style an oversized shirt is to wear the top with a pair of formfitting blue jeans, like straight-leg or skinny jeans; this balances the oversized top, creating a laid-back outfit. Try a long-sleeved white shirt with white jeans to create a minimalist, monochrome look.
A good rule of thumb is that an untucked shirt should come to the middle of the butt. Another good rule of thumb is that the front bottom shirt tail should end midway down the fly of your pants.
Just Right: The proper fit means that the collar touches the skin all the way around the neck, but doesn't press against it. You're able to slip two fingers comfortably in between your neck and the collar at any point.
Length. If you lift up your arms, the hem of the tee shouldn't ride up to expose your belly. As a general guide, it should hang lower than your hips, an inch or two below your belt-line, but not all the way to your legs.
With your arms hanging relaxed at your sides and the cuffs of the shirt unbuttoned, the sleeves should come down to the center of the back of your hand (or the first knuckle of your thumb).
The bottom hem of your t-shirt shouldn't hit any higher than your hips, or it's too small. It should cover your waistband and extend a few inches past that. If it's shorter than that, it'll look like a crop top when you raise your arms. If it's longer than that, it'll look like a dress.
What clothes make you look trustworthy?
According to the survey, 56 percent said neutral colors—white, beige, gray, black, brown, khaki, and navy—make someone appear more “authentic” vs. 30 percent who said bright colors do and 14 percent who said patterns (like plaids and stripes) do.
Clothes reflect who you are, how you feel at the moment and sometimes even what you want to achieve in life? Always remember whatever you wear should reflect the real you. Your dressing sense reflects your personality, character, mood, style and what actually you are as an individual.

To make a good first impression
Your appearance is often the first thing others notice about you. Dressing professionally can help form a positive impression to people you meet in the workplace. This is especially important for interviews and when meeting upper-level managers who make hiring and promotion decisions.

Most t-shirts have a fold crease down the center of the shirt. The focal point of the design should be centered on the intersection of the center line and the chest line. Tip: If you are decorating across a broad size scale (Youth S to Adult 2X+) you may need to create two versions of the same image at different sizes.
Ask a Stylist
The correct length of an untucked shirt is halfway between the bottom of your belt loops and the end of your zipper. Anything above that is not likely a good fit for your build and won't be easy to tuck in without coming loose―and anything longer is meant to be worn tucked into chinos or jeans.
As a general rule, if a shirt has a straight hem, for example a polo shirt, it is designed to be left untucked. However, if a shirt has a curved hem, for example a business shirt, it is designed to be tucked in.
Durable, Dynamic, High-Quality Materials
Look for companies that use high-quality fabrics. Also, look for things that have a blend of materials to make clothes comfortable and functional. For example, a cotton/polyester blend can be soft, super durable, and dry much faster than cotton alone.
Choose jewelry and accessories that work with your outfit rather than those that are distracting. Always wear clothing that is pressed and clean. Choose clothes that are well-fitted and avoid wearing too-tight or too-loose attire. Wear shoes that are polished and clean.
A T-shirt (also spelled tee shirt), or tee, is a style of fabric shirt named after the T shape of its body and sleeves. Traditionally, it has short sleeves and a round neckline, known as a crew neck, which lacks a collar. T-shirts are generally made of a stretchy, light, and inexpensive fabric and are easy to clean.
How big should an image on a shirt be?
Generally, the maximum printing area for the front and back of a T-shirt is 12″ x 16″. Some printing companies, including Printbest, will shrink your design on smaller size garments so the image fits in the printable area.
In general- adult sized shirt designs should be between 11 and 14 inches. For kids sized shirts, you only need between 5.5 and 9 inches. Of course, the design size can change depending on what you're making, but these are good sizes to start with. Where to place your design once you have it cut is a little easier.
